Eastern Parkway BBQ Man Reviews

Absolutely adore the barbecue man. Works so beautifully and efficiently to create a delicious meal that is a great size for the price. Keep supporting barbecue man he is the gem of Crown Heights. Thank you barbecue man for the amazing food and the sparkle you give this area!

He opens up about 5 or 6pm. Line is already halfway down the middle strip off eastern parkway. The brisket is so so good. You can taste the smoke chips in the food. The collard greens, rice , macaroni are okay. But the meat is the star of the plate.

The best barbecue I have ever had, by a significant margin. It was well worth the wait. On the one hand, the guy could operate a little more efficiently, perhaps going up the line collecting orders, allowing him to prepare them in clumps and hand them out with some rapidity as customers arrive at his glorious, smoke-spewing pit. On the other hand, see my opening above.

This BBQ is so great! I waited for three hours, and the price and portion size was totally worth it. He seems like a pretty cool guy too!

Really good BBQ at fantastic prices! Operating a BBQ station on pedals, the Eastern Parkway BBQ man provides something that this part of Crown Heights doesn't really have. The menu offers 4 choices of meat (1/4 lb Texas brisket, 2 lb spare ribs, 1/4 chicken jerk, 1/4 lb Carolina pulled pork) and 4 sides (collard greens, BBQ baked beans, mac 'n cheese, corn bread). All the meats are good: the Texas brisket is super-tender, the spare ribs are very flavorful, the chicken has a fantastic smoky flavor , and the pulled pork is delicious. For $12 for 2 meats and 2 sides, this is excellent value for money. My suggestion would be to try everything. Just be advised that the brisket and pulled pork come in a honey mustard sauce, and that the beans are seriously spicy. Business operation depends on the weather: He is usually here either Saturday or Sunday, and some times another day during the week. The man sets up his operation in the morning, and food is ready at around 5-6pm. As there is always a line, my advice is to come here at least half an hour before. This place is very popular: I've seen people bring chairs to wait in line. Also, the line moves slowly, as the guy prepares each order individually, so if there are ten people in front of you, you may have to wait 45 min. to 1h before it's your turn. I think the guy would benefit from having somebody help with service once food is ready, but if you don't mind the wait, this is a great deal for tasty BBQ.

So today I wanted some bbq and didn't feel like doing it myself. so we took a drive over to Eastern Parkway and Franklin. On the menu today was chicken, ribs, oxtail, collards, beans. I believe there were other sides but by the time my husband got moving and we got there beans and collards were left. Not that it was a problem because I wanted both! My friend made that for dinner tonight and unfortunately she's in Michigan. So I got the two sides, chicken and ribs. I couldn't wait to get home to try. I will say the beans and the collards have a kick to them but very tasty. My husband will looove them! The chicken had a sweet bbq sauce on them that is delicious and the chicken is tender and juicy. The ribs are excellent!!! Perfect seasoning and the bark is delicious! Is it a bit of a ride from Bensonhurst..yeah, but can I get this at home?.. No so it's worth the ride. GPS took us the long way around but we got home quicker. If you're buying more then one meal bring a bag with you. Watch his Instagram, he lets you know what he's cooking. Very nice enterprising young man. Go and get some good food!
